We developed a specific programme called “BIKESH” which combines financial and non-financial services especially for women working in agriculture sector. As a part of Bikesh framework, special series of informal educational events for women entrepreneurs in rural areas, named “Syrlasu” events provide women a comfortable environment for exchanging ideas and experiences and improve their knowledge.

Syrlasu Educational Programme

Syrlasu programme aims to support women entrepreneurs in South Kazakhstan region on developing their business and their personal skills. The Syrlasu programme is a series of workshops targeting women entrepreneurs in rural areas. The programme explores and discusses important business topics in an informal setting over a cup of coffee. The name "Syrlasu" in Kazakh means "heart to heart" . Thanks to the seminars, women received comfortable conditions for communication, discussion of new ideas, exchange of knowledge and experience.

The Syrlasu program is carried out in several stages, one topic is delivered in each month in four regions (Yassy, Aksu, Shymkent and Saryagash) . In 2019, 12 workshops for Syrlasu were organized: 4 workshops on Financial Management in October, 4 workshops on Taxation in November and 4 workshops on Management of Emotions in December. Arnur Credit attracted more than 200 rural women entrepreneurs as part of the Syrlasu educational program in 2019. At the end of the training program, upon successful completion of 6 topics, entrepreneurs received certificates that allow them to receive microcredits in more favourable terms.

In 2020, Arnur Credit continues the seminars online and expands the geography of seminars. The new 4 regions are – Almaty, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl and Ordabasy region.

Since we started the programme in 2019, more than 200 women in business attended Syrlasu seminars.
